Review on Lenovo G34W 10 34" Curved Monitor, 3440x1440P, Height Adjustable, Anti-Glare Coating, Flicker-Free - ‎Model 66A1GCCBUS by Mike Ahim

At first I really liked this monitor, then suddenly without warning the screen went black. The power indicator was fine, but the OSD control was not working and my PC recognized this indicator as a "Non-PNP Monitor" indicating a DP interface error. Thinking it was still within the 1 year warranty I went to the Lenovo website. to verify my serial number and this warranty mysteriously started in May 2021 BEFORE I bought the unit. I was able to find a way to challenge my warranty status by sending an invoice to Revain, time will tell. Stay with us. I now regret buying a Lenovo product. Never. UPDATE ON 6/20/22: I went through the warranty upgrade process to set the end date and frankly it was successful. My warranty lasted all 12 months. I then opened a service ticket explaining my issue. Within a day (over a weekend) I received an email reply asking for more information that I had provided. Then, as requested, I called Lenovo to speak to a support representative and got through to them straight away. The representative obviously read the troubleshooting script, but it actually solved my problem. It turns out that this monitor has a "master reset" feature. To reset, unplug the power cord and video cable from the monitor, wait one minute, then reconnect the monitor to power, and then press and hold the monitor power button for 30 seconds. Then turn off the monitor, reconnect the video cable and voila! Everything came alive again. While I'm grateful I was able to repair the monitor, I couldn't find this procedure anywhere. This is an effective troubleshooting method and should at least be available on the Lenovo website. Upgrading my rating from 1 star to 4 stars.
