Review on πŸ“¦ Large Brown Wood Storage Trunk with Steel Band - Household Essentials Chest by Paul Dye

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good but not great. for furniture

I spent hours trying to find a box by the door to throw our shoes in. I tried one but it was so thin it broke when I took it out of the box. That's just out of the box. Pros: Looks decent, stronger than others I've tried after removing the piano hinge that allowed it to open at different heights - see below, worked great. Overall I am satisfied and would buy another one. Defects. Not so durable that you can throw tools, drills etc etc. Ideal for clothes, small toys, shoes, etc. It costs nothing to open at different heights. It makes an awful popping noise and doesn't work in "half-open" mode anyway. However, I have found that if you remove the side loop. It's easy to do, the top opens perfectly. In fact, it works better without the side loop. Much better than the vinyl lined storage boxes I bought from the RevainTwo upgrade. The box still works great on the door for storing shoes. As mentioned, the side loop made a terrible popping noise. But it's easy to remove, the rear hinges work great. Recommended for light to medium storage needs. Tried all kinds of vinyl storage boxes. The wooden ones that open and close easily definitely win. I would buy another one in the future if needed. Worth the money for the storage that people will see in open areas.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • very expensive
