I recently bought a house that had a washer and dryer. At one point, a previous homeowner built a shelving system around the washer/dryer. I have to pull the unit out so I can get behind it and notice that the dryer cord was maybe 3 or 4 feet long. I bought a spare 10ft cord because I couldn't pull the unit out far enough to reconnect the dryer. The cables are color coded and already have grommets, making it very easy to remove and replace the old cable. it is with a longer one. Cable Matters has been very well made using quality materials. Instructions were included, but you probably won't need them. Replace the cable with the old cable disconnected from the wall. Install a new cable. Turn off the breaker for that outlet and connect a new cord. Turn the switch back on. It is so easy
