Review on Zoo Med Reptile Stand Large by Elmito Yeager

Review Date: 30 Jan 2014 Before this review, let me explain why only 4 stars. I don't believe in the perfect artificial product. People aren't that nice. With that in mind, I would rate this a 4.5 out of 5. If anything changes, I'll post an update as usual. I ordered this item for a bearded dragon enclosure on January 27th. As usual, delivery from Revain was exceptionally timely. Received on January 30th. The product is durable, the welds at the joints are clean. I have no doubt that it will stand the test of time. Some reviewers were negative about the screw holes for the three thumbscrews that attach the upright and overhang. Some reviewers stated that the bolt holes were too small and they had to re-drill/cut new bolt holes. I didn't have such difficulties. While I can understand that someone might have trouble getting thread alignment, I haven't experienced any such trouble. The bolts align easily and are very secure. knurled handles on bolts are plastic. I can see how over tightening the screw can cause the plastic to come loose. In this case, you can simply tighten the screws with a wrench. I don't see this as a problem unless there is constant height or protrusion adjustment being made. and Zoo Med had to place a small felt pad or similar cushion between the stand's upright support and the tank wall to prevent bumps/scratches.
