This is a bit misleading as it is not as high as it looks in the picture. I figured I could put it under my coaster and it would reach my tank. (My tank and stand are about 3ft 9in.) However, I think it would be more functional if I placed the base of the stand between my stand and the tank. This is an essential item for heating lamps over a large aquarium. I was a bit skeptical of how much weight they would hold. First I order a mount for a double deep dome. Bought this to hang a dual dome mini light over my bearded dragon tank. I love the fact that you can adjust the height, which makes it easy to get the right distance (6 inches) between my beard and its light so it doesn't accidentally fry. Being able to open the sliding top of the screen is also great.
