My double dome mini lamp hung on it while I had the beard tank cap and it was fine the whole time, it was tightened in all places and I always checked for leaks before replacing the Remove lid, just in case. Well one day I took the lid off and the light was hung up as usual, I put away its food/water bowls, wiped down the sides of the tank etc, the daily routine. My bearded husband was sunning himself in his hammock and all of a sudden he just went into freefall and when he stopped at the lowest level he scared me and, more disturbingly, my bearded dragon to death. ! He was so damn fast on the other side of the tank I didn't even notice he got there! Also, I could have easily smashed lightbulbs that REALLY had the filament busted in a heat lamp but luckily the bulbs didn't bust and hit my mate but he was scared of that damn light fixture for a hot minute and I stopped it I just mounted my fixings on the top of the tank and just use it to hold the wires up and away from the fixings themselves. I feel cheated buying this cheap "lamp stand" when I could just use a $3 hanging flower mount, screw it to the wall and that's it!
