This is an essential item for heating lamps over a large aquarium. I was a bit skeptical of how much weight they would hold. First I order a mount for a double deep dome. I deviated from a deep dome light's advice on how to hang it safely and came to this one. The stand comes with very few instructions but they are easy to understand. It has held up great. I used zip ties to secure the electrical cord from the lamps to the pole as the cords will make the lamp swing. Realizing there was no better way to keep heat and light out, I ordered another one to mount with a double-deep dome on the opposite end of the tank. It takes a bit of a chore to adjust the bar each day to get in and out of the tank, but the overall benefit is worth it. The packaging I ordered both times was terrible. The parts just rattled in the box, although there were clearly zip ties in place to secure the parts. Luckily the parts don't break, but I had other stuff with me when I first shipped it and this box flew around from weight shifting inside the big box. The extra effort of securing the parts can't be that hard.
