I was looking forward to using this Nexigo PJ30 projector. I have a PJ20 I used last year for my Halloween decorating, and I wanted a second projector to add to my display. This newer model has three major improvements over the previous model, justifying the more expensive price.Major improvement #1: Brightness. Placing the two projectors side-by-side, the PL30 (450 lumens) is noticeably brighter than the older model (350 lumens). This new projector was visible in a room with semi-open blinds. It's still not bright enough for a room with full sun, but it's more than suitable for a projector for this price range.Major improvement #2: This is a big one - Network connectivity. The previous model limited the WiFi password length to 17 characters. Since my password is longer than that, I could not connect it to my home network. This projector resolved the issue and allowed me to enter my entire password. WiFi connectivity made the entire experience better.Next, let's discuss the hardwired features. Music, movies, and photos on a USB drive worked as expected. Connecting my iPhone via a USB/Lightning cable also worked as expected. The built-in speaker has plenty of volume to fill a room. Connecting a pair of headphones to the jack also worked as expected.Now, the biggest (and most important) improvement #3 - Zero lag, and no sync issues. The audio and video from the USB drive were in sync, as they were from the hardwired iPhone. The previous model introduced a small amount of lag at times, but the new PJ30 fixed it. Wireless screen mirroring from my iPhone - no lag. Streaming from my Windows computer using WiDi - no lag. Adding a separate Bluetooth speaker to both of those scenarios - NO LAG. Loved this improvement the most.This last test scenario was the most strenuous of them all, but the projector kept up. Specifically, it was able to maintain a wireless connection to a source (laptop/iPhone), keep up with the audio by sending it to a Bluetooth speaker, all while keeping a sharp 1080p video stream, crisp, clear audio and no lag. I imagine this setup would be the one utilized most - streaming from a wireless source, displaying HD video, and sending the audio to a dedicated Bluetooth speaker. This setup works from everything from summer movie nights on the side of my house to holiday decoration digital displays.There are two very minor items that I would have liked to see that are still missing. First, there is no indication on the Keystone adjustment to show where the default is. A simple line on the knob would have been nice. Second, the device does not ship with the two AAA batteries required to operate the remote. It would have been nice to see them in the box.So, to sum up:- I highly recommend this projector for indoor/outdoor movie nights or long streaming sessions as well as holiday digital displays.- Video is bright enough to use indoors during daylight- Built-in speaker is loud enough to fill a room- Network connectivity now allows longer passwords- Audio/video performance is improved. Wireless streaming from a source while simultaneously beaming audio to a Bluetooth speaker resulted in no lag.- Hardwired connectivity (USB, HDMI, headphone jack) work well- Two minor details that need to be addressed are a line on the Keystone adjustment knob to show the center, and the inclusion of two AAA batteries to operate the remote.
