All my cars come with all K&N filters - air, cabin and oil. I clean and lubricate the air filters every 5,000 miles when I change my engine oil. I then swap out the entire block after 100,000 miles, although I think they could probably last longer. If you're thinking of replacing your standard paper filter with a K&N filter, it's easy to clean and re-oil, you just have to be vigilant. about not relubricating the filter. If you have one on your car, I also recommend cleaning the MAF sensor at every oil change.
