I installed this type behind my house last week. Plain 3/4 inch PVC and I have speaker wire going in from the soffit, back into the soffit and down to the ends of the roof where the speakers are installed (klipsch AW-650). I tested. that and the 250-watt-per-channel speakers (250 measured, real-time) from the Monster Power MPA 2250 amplifier, and it held up well. The overall volume of the speakers is reduced by about 10dB compared to what would be if the sound wasn't routed through the box, but considering the box is handling so much power it's not a huge issue compensate. Excellent purchase. The handle works great too. Easy to install (this was my first).
