This thing is practically useless if you have a Mac/iPhone/iPad. The automatic photo backup only captures the first folder, which in my case is the public folder, so no camera roll backup is made unless done manually. The automatic backup also sends duplicates, so that's the problem. I bought it to stream movies on iPhone and iPad but it just doesn't work. The reformat allows me to move files from my Mac laptop to the drive via USB, but they are not available when connected via Wi-Fi from iPhone and iPad and only show the original folder structure that was on the drive . The folders I created cannot be displayed. I couldn't even get the movie onto disk until I reformatted it into the Mac structure, so it's obviously irretrievable now. Pretty much all it's worth is backing up photos and videos taken on your iPhone if you want to place them manually and make sure you don't duplicate them. Too bad because it has potential.
