I don't waste time writing reviews if I really don't like something. So. First a little competition. I am not a political "vegan”. Even though my diet is 100% plant-based and whole foods, I still wear leather. But since the world is spinning, I try to make an effort when I can. After all, what's the point of wearing animal products if there's a better (and sometimes cheaper) alternative. Buying shoes online is always a risk. You guess the subtle size differences by trying to collect the best customer reviews while ignoring the more detailed negative ones. We do as much research as we can before hitting the checkout button. I've always been a Saucony fan. From my first to my last marathon. I've tried other brands but I always go back to my one true love, Saucony. My new shoes arrived in two days even though the delivery date suggested they would arrive in a week. So I was so excited to see this box on my porch when I came home from a long walk with my dog in my old lime and black Saucony Power Grids that were worn to the soles. As for my new treads, I chose Blue-Beige in 8-1/2. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the shoes came with two color laces - beige and blue - how cool is that? So I saved the very cool beige laces for another day. I know it's day one, but I don't think I've ever worn a more comfortable pair of running shoes. No odd bumps inside were crunching my feet and they already felt broken. And there's a nice "floating" feeling (I can't think of a more descriptive word) when sliding down the sidewalk - whether walking or running. I wear them all day and not only do they look cool even without gym clothes, they feel like a part of me. I read somewhere that with "heavy" use, the tops of the toes can wear out quickly - we'll see if that happens. But I don't run regularly - maybe a few times a week. Although I probably run 30-35 miles a week. Well, for me, these will never see "energetic" activity. However, they appear to be VERY well put together. The fabric is very comfortable and as described in one of the articles I read, the canvas and hemp fabric make them very stylish. To be fair this rating is for FIRST DAY of wearing. But I've bought so many shoes in my life and have run quite a few half marathons and full marathons and fun races (I'm a beginner, not an avid runner). When I buy shoes, I know from day one whether they fit me or not, and in most cases I try on a lot of shoes in regular stores. But I have NEVER found such comfortable shoes, let alone online. And since these are Saucony shoes, I'm sure I'll love them long after our honeymoon. I highly recommend these shoes.
