Although most tools these days are made in China and assembled from plastic parts, some are still well made. Unfortunately this is not one of them. I was very disappointed with the overall build quality of this device. Poor quality plastic, scratched LCD right out of the box, no battery (this is a ploy to trick users into leaving positive reviews in exchange for a free 9V battery), etc. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the device Agree or disagree because I just couldn't shake the feeling of being cheap so I returned it for a refund. But if you're looking for a reliable device, this isn't it. On my return I ordered the TackLife DMS03 instead and couldn't be happier. For just $5, you get a much sturdier device, a better display, a protective carrying case, and a battery. And as for accuracy, exactly the same!
