I painted the bathroom cabinets white and the kitchen cabinets linen. I'm happy with the finish and it feels solid. Hope it holds up over time. I read a lot of reviews beforehand and chose Prime. The directions say no primer is required but 4 coats of compound paint would be required to cover the maple cabinets. The kit allows you to apply 2 layers, taking into account the dimensions. If I use more than 2 layers, I have to buy an extra set. The primer also doesn't let the texture of the wood show through, which is what I wanted.
