Review on Thermalright Frost Spirit 140 CPU Cooler Silver/Grey by Mateusz Sowa ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

Bought for Ryzen7 5800x3D. Copes with native fans, but works noisily. In the operating mode, the processor temperature reached 80 degrees, in the extreme stress test (Linpack) it reached throttling, i. E. The CPU temperature has risen above 90 degrees. As a result, the buzzing got tired. At home, two fans from Noctua, two 120s, were lying around. Installed, the noise was much less. The temperature of the processor has decreased, now in the operating mode it does not happen above 77 degrees. Something like this.

Pros
  • Ease of installation. Doesn't interfere with memory sticks.
Cons
  • With native fans noisy. At high speeds, an unpleasant buzzing noise appears. I sinned on a fan with a diameter of 120, in fact both buzz.
