Review on Laticrete Hydro Barrier 1 Gallon by Justin Santiago

The item arrived damaged and leaking, but customer service was quick to reply to my email and gave me some helpful advice (for which I am eternally grateful!). For anyone reading this who might be experiencing this, I first cleaned the outside as best I could with disinfectant wipes (the only one I had), turned it upside down so the tear was facing up, and used real duct tape (shiny material) used that goes to work of the air duct) to wrap the bottom of the container where it tore. Then I turned it over and let it sit for 24 hours. This allowed the product to dry in the crack but not leak through the tape and the remaining product remained usable. Finally, after patching the tear, I opened the container. I didn't lose too much material so I felt like I could complete my project without ordering more. I've used it with Laticrete waterproofing membrane fabric (also available through Revain) to caulk my shower walls and make them waterproof. . I ended up applying two full coats, plus a few touch-ups where needed, with some more left over. I used it on three walls and the ceiling. If I do the math correctly, that's about 68 square feet of coverage per layer, although I may have guessed a bit more. I also made thinner coats as I made the shower waterproof against spikes so I didn't have to use it as often.
