Review on BIGTREETECH High Frequency Printer Control 12864Lcd: Enhance 3D Printing Efficiency and Precision by Matt Woodward

Hardware is excellent but very difficult to get working

I consider myself very experienced in 3D printing and average programming/IDE experience but it still took me many many hours to complete this set up the board. It's not like an 8-bit board where you can use Arduino to upload code. You need to use an IDE extension called platformIO running in your IDE. There are many videos online on how to do this. However, the chances that you are dealing with the exact same Marlin version, configuration files, pin descriptions, library versions, platform versions, path settings, board settings and platform-board descriptions as shown in the video are negligible. I've had to modify the output file to accommodate the y2 engine and y/x max stop, I've had to look everywhere for compilation errors and I have yet to figure out neopixel support. However, the hardware is fantastic and the board's UART support made installing the TMC2209 a breeze. I also like the screw terminals.

Cons
