Review on Leather Basket Dog Muzzle For German Shepherd, Dalmatian, Doberman Setter & Medium-Large Breeds - Black/Brown (L) by Kip Ruach

The muzzle is as advertised. It would be helpful if it came in a size smaller than medium. My dog is a mixed breed (shepherd/border collie/?). Although her measurements seem to match the Medium size, that size is a little large for her, requiring it to be adjusted as small as possible. She did manage to get it off, so it didn't exactly serve the purpose for which it was purchased (preventing biting at the vet). We still had to medicate her and use a more aggressive muzzle to allow her to be handled there. However, I do find it useful for grooming since she isn't really aggressive to me, just tends to want to "mouth" my hand and lick me when she is being groomed. The muzzle solves that problem. I expect that it will be useful for veterinarian visits once she is more acquainted with this vet and can relax. I couldn't give it a 5-star rating because I wouldn't truly trust it to prevent her from biting. As for being able to tear it off and destroy it as I have read in other reviews, I don't believe any dog should be left unattended when muzzled, so that should never be an issue.
