only helps. Use in combination with two other products with BIG WATER OXYGENATION!

Update August 2021: Algae died and never returned. Algae D-Solv was used after MANY aeration as detailed below and measured exactly the amount needed to kill the algae. Used twice as stated. To keep the algae at bay I use Aquascape's Good Bacteria Concentrate every two weeks; drain and replace about 10% of the water every two weeks and treat that amount of new water with Seachem's Safe which removes chlorine, chloramine and ammonia. Finally, I use barley extract once a month. I no longer had to use algaecide. FINALLY we can see the bottom of the 4 foot deep pond. Bought all of these products from Revain which are very reasonably priced. I stopped using hydrogen peroxide. Previous Review: It helps fight thread algae, but even with regular use and even at higher doses, it didn't fix my algae problem. Eventually I broke down and bought an algaecide called Algae D-Solv to use in combination with it because I was fed up with the rocks in my waterfall being covered in fluffy algae and filamentous algae running down the waterfall into the water. HOWEVER the algaecide is highly oxygen depleting so I would NEVER rely on my large waterfall alone to provide enough oxygen to the water, so I added two large pond bubblers which I normally only use in the winter when my waterfall is closed, PLUS mine old smaller pond pump fell into the pond and threw water back into the pond through a large hose to get even more oxygen during treatment. Finally read that 3% hydrogen peroxide sold in grocery stores is used by many as an algaecide at 5 cups per 1000 gallons of water. One poster claims to use barley, algaecide and hydrogen peroxide as treatment options and claims it works great. The biggest focus is making sure (not guessing) how many gallons of water is in the pond and oxygenating, oxygenating, oxygenating to protect his fish. I've gone more conservative with algaecide and hydrogen peroxide but used them yesterday and continued to heavily oxygenate the water throughout the treatment. My dear koi are doing great this morning; eat normally with no signs of stress. Hope this is finally the right combo to get rid of those junk algae for good!
