Laminate is EXACTLY the same as the Target Project 62 Loring Collection in Vintage Oak. If you have one of these desks and want a little more space, this is a good choice, although you won't be able to easily navigate the charger with a "hatch" in the back of the desk. These two devices look like they were made for each other. I didn't need phone/tablet slots so I flipped my entire device to make it look neater. The back of the risers is finished, so that's not a problem. You can easily remove the plastic trays that fit in these holes and use them to route wires if you like. Note that the three sections are not connected. The center block is U-shaped and the two side blocks are L-shaped, and the two side blocks simply rest on the center block. Quick assembly, maybe 10-15 minutes with a medium Phillips screwdriver.
