This is the perfect solution for those of us who want to use a PC without a sound card. Another one that allows you to connect a set of PC speakers, a microphone or (as in my case) a set of in-ear headphones to my HP micro server that doesn't have a sound card installed. This cable was plug and play on Windows 10. It's a great non-technical solution for anyone looking for a microphone or audio output on a PC that doesn't already offer an output if a spare USB port is available. After taking my computer apart, just use the free USB slot and you're done! Great for those who aren't tech savvy or for those of us just looking for a quick and easy fix. I'm currently using the cable as a headphone output on a home HTPC/media server, just for convenience. The sound quality is excellent, both for movies and music, and this is the real test! The embedded Realtek chip was spotted almost immediately. I recommend!
