The camera ruins the whole phone. Comparable in class, the 2022 Samsung A5 shoots much better than the A50. I have both smarts. I believed the numerous praises from review bloggers and bought a device with such a serious drawback. Now I regret the purchase. Has pros: In everything except cameras, the A50 is a good smartphone. The video shoots well. Video stabilization works well. The A50's screen PWM ripple is much lower over most of the brightness range than its predecessors and many Chinese phones. Different cons: A50 photographs poorly in all modes except macro. In macro shoots acceptable. Also good color reproduction. The problem with detailing and terrible software processing that turns a photo into an artist's drawing. You are tormented with photographing text, small details are not close. With this, it is worse than almost all competitors and even cheaper models, worse than the "Chinese", worse than its predecessors, even of a lower class. When you enlarge the picture, you will see how the program has processed the photo into a watercolor drawing.
