Fantastic pump suitable for drain pumps

I had a knee deep + deep water situation in the area of my new home. After reading the reviews I stopped at the plumber's website. The options for different drain hoses included in the box meant I could choose the type of hose I wanted to use and didn't have to waste time at the hardware store looking for adapters to get it working. For the website I used a 25ft swamp. Pump Booster Kit (about $15 at Lowes) with hose clamp included. I left the hose in the hole and took the pump out to clean. It fits nicely in a standard 5 gallon bucket and is easy to clean. I replaced it with a regular garden drain hose and it was very easy. The pump only stopped working when I reached a level where the remaining sludge was a viscous clay sludge. My only gripe with the car was that you have to steer it manually once the level drops to about half a foot. At first it pumped up about 10 feet with no problem and made it through most of the water quickly. At first I had to enter the site in waders but they fell off so I could just put my boots on. Since it worked so well in this situation, I'll probably use it as a pump for other flood emergencies. .
