Nice little pump, does what it promises. I bought this pump to drain 2 feet of water from my pool that has leaves and dirty water in it. It worked fine for a while and then it made a strange noise. I looked through the holes in the pump housing mesh and saw that a round black gasket was protruding from the bottom of the pump and the bottom of the pump was moving when I turned on the pump. I have not used this pump yet. Looks like a good product with a built in float that sits behind the shielding material. My initial feeling is that this pump should have a 2 inch outlet. I'm also worried about my earthmoving company's plastic case. We've got a lot of water this year so I'm sure I'll be using this thing many times and posting more about it. I had a knee deep + deep water situation in the area of my new home. After reading the reviews I stopped at the plumber's website. The options for different drain hoses included in the box meant I could choose the type of hose I wanted to use and didn't have to waste time at the hardware store looking for adapters to get it working.
