It's nice that the product turned out better than expected. I was just looking for a sturdy, oblong shaped bucket that could hold the mop I use to wipe the front of my house. I saw the red thing on the handle but didn't realize it was for leaning against the mop bar. This is a really neat feature. I also didn't expect all the measurement markings on the inside of the bucket to help make the right mix of cleaner and water and easy to read from the top of the bucket. The bucket is sturdy with a handy handle that folds down for storage but locks down for safe transport when full and a place to put the mop down when needed. I discovered quite by accident while using a long handled soft brush wiper on a large bay window that was also very easy to remove mold from siding. For the window, I was able to make up a small amount of my cleaning solution in a regular bucket since I didn't have to dip the mop head, only once and I could squeeze it as needed to get it all wet. I then hosed down the window and used a mop. In the course of my efforts, I noticed that the trim under the window was almost effortless to clean. I've pressure washed or paid for siding, and it's not the best option for places I can get to with a long-handled mop and then just hose it down. It was all I could do to convince my son to give it a try since, like most men, pressure washing was the only option. After discovering this much easier way to clean side panels, I only needed a bucket to hold my grout and refresh my wiper as needed while I worked. I compared several options and chose this one mainly because of the size. I was very happy about additional functions. Because of the bucket-loaded metering feature, I expect to use it for more things than I had planned. On the inner bottom there is a recess for a quantity and another for more detergent, on the sides there are markings for the amount of water to be filled, like with OXO measuring cups. Even if I'm just mopping the wooden floor in the kitchen where my mop gets wet, I can scrape the excess moisture off the ledges in the bottom of a barely full bucket and then store the mop in it until the floor is dry and I can mop and bucket to clean.
