This is the first time I've used a product like this so I don't have a comparison but it suits my needs perfectly. I rent a room in a grand old Victorian house and the extra sized toilet has been there for at least 30 years with dark very unpleasant looking deposits all over the bottom of the bowl. I tried industrial cleaners, vinegar, bleach, half a dozen different cleaners, and whatever else I could think of, and while the toilet was clean, it was still pretty uncomfortable to look at. I finally got fed up with it a few days before the dinner party and decided to do it once and for all and came across some pumice stone recommendations. cleaning, and the bowl has never looked so clean. It works exactly as you would expect - no cleaning agents, no chemical reactions, just plain old scouring, and it works as well as I could have hoped. It was kind of essential in my area, but it's a softer, grainier pumice than I'm used to from other uses, and it frays and breaks up into fine gray patches on cleaning (which you can just wash away if). You are done cleaning). So you'll most likely only use it once if you do a full and deep clean like I did and then hide the extra wand, hopefully for a few years later. A tip: the rod gets shorter and shorter as you brush. and loop it. I made the mistake of starting at the top and sides and then working my way down to the bottom of the bowl, at which point the wand was about half its original length, so I was glad to have sturdy gloves. It's best to start at the bottom of the bowl when the stick is longer, and then work your way up while shortening it so you always have the longest possible length. Also, the plastic handle extends a few inches, so once the pumice stone is about 2.5 to 3 inches long, you can no longer clean with the very end of the wand because the plastic handle sticks out at the end. The last moment is great. For the sides of the bowl, since you can use the flat sides instead of the end, you'll need to preserve the bottom of the bowl. All in all, I highly recommend this. This is a great way to spend some time and energy getting rid of long-term buildup and then return to your regular cleaning routine to keep it clean and prevent buildup from reoccurring.
