Review on Simrad Pilot Control AP44 Compact by Carlos Barrett
Great autopilot addition
Works right out of the box on my Grand Banks Trawler. I have a 36 grand bank and added an AP44 with a NEC-2 computer. The device did not need to be adjusted during commissioning and the boat handles perfectly in all conditions. Make sure you have a NEC 2 computer and set it up carefully. I am also now installing an op-12 block on the bridge. The device interacts with the Notor drive already on the boat with a chain dryer that hooks onto the cable laying system.
