Sturdy - I hope it won't collapse in an earthquake. The TV weighs 68 pounds with the table stand, maybe 50 pounds without it. The wooden shelf wasn't included - it's a pipe shelf that you can find elsewhere on Revane. It's a little lower than I expected, but I think I misunderstood the chart. 33 inch floor to floor TV. This is the highest. The foot is 3 inches deep. My TV is 12 inches from the wall, the base of the stand is right up against the baseboard. I cut a 4" notch to allow the tree to go around the leg of the stand - the tree measures 4' x 11 ¾ x 1".
