I used this tool to reduce the thickness of an MDF baseboard. I clamped the drill to the table and used shims to get the desired thickness (the distance from the table top to the edge of the tool). Although this tool was designed for metal, it slowly but surely cuts through MDF, leaving a factory-like finish on the finished piece. I also used the narrow end of the tool (SB-5) to sand off the excess epoxy in the window. blind repair project. I used a hand drill and some gentle maneuvers to wipe away any excess epoxy that was interfering with the rod reducer's position. It worked better than any of my Dremel accessories. These are just two projects I've been working on this week. I am sure that I will find many more uses for this tool in the future.
