I got one of these for my daughter. She is a competitive junior olympic gymnast and has achilles troubles in one of her heels from time to time. She had one of these before (the original generation of these heel cups) but it tore up around the top from the constant putting on and taking off. However, my daughter said that it really helped during floor exercise and vault, so I got her another one. If the gen 2 model holds together better than the first one, it will be worthy of five stars, but that remains to be seen. All in all a good product for protecting the heel and achilles area of a young gymnast. But, at this price I think the longevity of the product is a little lacking.
