later I think a lot of the negative reviews on this product are the result of user error and/or not knowing the best way to use this product. 1. The paper must not be too thin. If you are using thinner paper and are not getting straight edges, try folding 2 or even 3 sheets. This makes a big difference, especially for the smallest corner size (4mm) which can be difficult to use. Hold the stamp upside down in your non-dominant hand and hold the paper in your dominant hand so you can see exactly what you are doing and make sure the corner lines up with the center of the stamp.3. This last point is less important but still helpful if you're having trouble. When you hit the lever to hit, do it quickly. If you press it slowly, your cuts may not come out as clean. That's all! You can see in my photo that I got even corners in all 3 sizes. I used thinner paper from a drawing pad. I have also used this on thicker card stock with great success. Haven't tried this on anything thicker than cardstock or specialty paper like glitter or foil. My only complaint is that there is no waste collection compartment, so cleaning is a bit of a pain.
