I know nylon zippers are self-healing, so I wasn't too concerned when I first unpacked them and the zipper came loose (see first picture). I pulled the zipper back through the slot and then forward again and sure enough the zipper healed on its own. I pulled it in opposite directions fairly tightly and jabbed my finger in to see if I could unzip it again easily, but it seemed to be holding up pretty well. I think the design of the sides and the arrangement of the openings is pretty good. The fact that the stabilizer bars are fully enclosed is awesome (I have one that has a flap on the ends that the cat can always flip over so the bar is visible). What really bothered me is that there is a disconnect in front of the flash slider no matter where it is. Inquisitive little fluffy Houdini babies may be able to extend this separation during transport. I just didn't feel like my cats were safe in this carrier without constant supervision. If I'm driving and they're sitting next to me, I need to know they can't open it. If you're transporting a pet that doesn't mind being caged and isn't overly curious, this could be a good choice.
