Review on 🌞 Dash Designs The Shade Retractable Windshield Sunshade, 23" SV03: Stay Cool and Protected! by Josh Hamler

Let's See: Interior

This is my first review of a product made in Cali's South Central Valley. Installation: I chose the 23" as recommended by the MFQ website for my 2015 Ford. merge. The installation is only 3 meters tape. Probably, then it will be painful to walk. Take a dry erase marker, attach a piece to the window you want to install it on and mark the top square. It's a little tricky for the bottom bracket but I had a thin wet wipe on the top and got it there. I installed it as close to the dash as possible and that could be a bug. There's a good gap of 4-5 at the top of the window. This makes it easy to pull up and place behind the mirror, but the manual says it needs to be pulled over the top of the mirror. I also see that it's terrible in my car. It will sag and still create a 3-4 gap. Material: I don't find it very reflective or heavy to be honest. It's like fabric and you can see through it. I don't think it will last an entire season (unless I rip it out early because it doesn't work on our 100 degree summer days). It's really easy to clean and the plastic feels really strong. Efficiency: We've only just started heating up, so time will tell. To be honest, I don't think it will do much. Too much distance and not enough reflectivity or heavy tinting. All in all a good idea, but probably inefficient, which is a damn shame. I will visit again once the summer heat sets in.
