I recently spent 15 minutes in a large store looking for lightbulbs with over 2000 lumens. There were no non-dimmables. (My lamp doesn't dim so I don't need that feature. I'm not sure what level it will give anyway.) So I decided to order online. Previously, I used a 180-watt, 2100-lumen GE Reader bulb. This took about the expected 0.7 years. I could not find this lamp for sale anywhere. The readers I found produced fewer lumens and cost $9 per bulb. Then I found these lamps on the internet. This 150W bulb produces 2680 lumens! Gives a nice soft bright light. I use it in a lamp that runs about 3 hours a day and costs me $0.06 a day. It is worth being able to read newspapers and books comfortably.
