Review on Aqueon LED Aquarium Light Fixture: Illuminating Your Underwater World with Spectacular Brilliance by Donna Tran

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great light but Revain's description is a bit misleading.

Don't get me wrong, I love this light. It was so easy to set up and adding extra lights was a breeze. Fish and plants look great under the LEDs - the colors are really vibrant. I have an aquarium with plants and currently have 2 bulbs - one daylight and one color enhancer - and I think there is more than enough light for the plants, but if I can I need to add a 3rd bulb or turn them off. Heck, I'm glad there's a way to do this. As it is, the LEDs are bright. Bright enough that if you look through our screen door from the side of the road during the day, you can see the light inside the tank. So I have no problem with light. My small gripe is the description that is currently on this site. The listing shows that the light has 3 modes: daylight, night and moonlight. Remember that although there are 3 settings, one of them is disabled. The settings are therefore: OFF, Day (all lights on) or Moonlight (all lights off, two single blue LEDs on). " Setup as described. I was expecting only one lamp to work, creating a less bright evening effect. I agree that the lamp does not have this feature, I just think the list should be more specific. I wish it did the lamps could be connected separately from the moons so that a timer could be set for each function.
