Review on 💧 Reliable Liberty Pumps SJ10 SumpJet Water Powered Back-Up Pump for Effective Backup - Gray by James Weber

I purchased this pump as a backup electric drain pump for my large (7 foot deep) French drain. An electric pump plugged into a GFI plug and the power cut out when I wasn't home, but there was no plug so the pump wouldn't drain the water it collected. The basement was leaking (from an area we didn't have French drainage at the time. I was building an apartment in this basement so I had to make sure I had a relapse. I researched battery operated drain pumps but they didn't have a very good one reviews and they were quite expensive. I was going to buy a 3/4" pump to generate higher pressure but ended up ordering 1 1/2". It works fine. We didn't need it (luckily) but we tested it and it works very well, i can't speak to the install as mine is a deep space to work with as the other pump was so deep but apart from the fact that it's a piece Had to trim that didn't cut (I think this is guaranteed), a reasonably skilled homeowner can easily do this, but unless you're mechanically inclined, hiring a professional would be a long shot easier to install but you need to draw a water line and connect to a drain pipe. etc.
