Works as expected - strap

This is a great tool and is especially good if you need it to specialize in getting a strap in and out in tight spaces. Clamping and unclamping is smooth and easy, and won't tangle or snag in transit. There are some hallmarks that have been adopted, but with good reason. It's not a wrench you hold in your hand all day, it's a specialty tool, so adding cosmetics and convenience costs is mostly wasteful. The reason I deducted a star isn't due to poor performance. On the one hand, this has to do with the price. This is an expensive tool to solve a problem. But if you need it, you're glad to have it. The final reason is that when I got mine, the crust holding the round platter in the spring area was loose and was sliding up and down the stem. It was a simple fox, just took an Allen key, put everything back in place and tightened. The reason for the deduction is design. The bolt doesn't go into anything, it just goes through the retaining ring and presses down on the stem and holds it in place. It would be nice to have something to make it safer. If it could detach in transit to me, I would expect it to detach just as easily in use. Overall this is a great product and the perfect addition to your serpentine belt tool kit if the price is within your budget.
