I live in upstate New York on the Canadian border and it's pretty cold here. I had a heater box installed on my Subaru Forester which works great but was expensive to install. My wife also wanted a heater block for her Nissan Senta but the local dealer said he couldn't order the part and even if I could get it somehow it would be very difficult and expensive to fit. The seller recommended one of these heaters to me. I searched the internet for lower radiator hoses until I found the diameter (1.3 inch) so that was the next size up. Installation was easy. The hardest part was removing the lower fender. I drained the water from the radiator and then cut off the hose. Metal snips worked much better than a knife and it was easier to work from above than under the car. I attached the zip ties, fed the wire through the lower bumper (the slots in the grille were too small) and secured it with a zip tie. I then refilled the radiator by reusing the coolant and filtering it through a cotton cloth. I ran the engine for a while to bleed the coolant, but it was cold enough that I couldn't fill the bottom hose. She drove the car for a few days before plugging it in. Total project time was 2 hours, maybe 40 minutes less if there's no fender in the way. will burn. The case heats up very quickly, so don't touch it. The heating is on a timer set 3 hours before you leave. I also have a long orange extension cord that she puts under the wiper blade to make sure she unplugs it before driving. .
