I got this because I'm an IT student so I spend a lot of time sitting, and I feel like this made my pain worse. The elastic used to secure in place to go over seat broke fairly quickly too. This may be helpful for certain types of pain, and I heavily rely on lumbar support when using a chair because I have 6 pinched nerves and arthritis from a fractured facet joint in my lumbar region. It could also be that this is designed for people with a tall stature; I'm 5"3' and I tend to have problems with one size fits all products.
