I like the black background, but this one could be better. Firstly, although it has tubing to wrap it around, it will be folded into rectangles and will need to be ironed before you can even attempt to place the puzzle on top. The surface remained easily wrinkled, often pushing the assembled parts apart. And finally, coarse felt "grabs" the pieces, making it almost impossible to move the assembled blocks into place. I think this is a great concept, but it would be much better to use a smoother material that lays flat and makes it easier for you to glide through your work.
