The product comes in a blue roll of self-adhesive plastic. You peel off a few inches, tape it to the carpet (or other floor covering), press it against the underside of the baseboard (or up the edge of the baseboard, if you prefer), and press firmly. Sticks well and doesn't move when you walk around, move tubs of paint, etc. When you're done, just peel it back and throw it away. It mainly works as a wide roll of masking tape for various surfaces. Genius. Makes drawing much easier and faster.
