I don't really know why the tabs holding the base to the case are broken. When I contacted the manufacturer I was told there were no replacement parts, I should just buy a new one. Also, over time it loses its ability to give good pressure (I hope you have a laugh) I almost bring it to the limit so that the water does not flow too quickly, but after a few years (2100 out of 10,000 nominal cycles) it has problems with the water supply. If I get a replacement, I get 3/4 hp. . Nylon tape (zip ties) looped around the top of the bell and then looped four zip ties through the holes where the tabs are. You will likely need to replace (or add a second) the "160 EPDM O-Ring, 70A Durometer, Round, Black, 5-1/4" ID, 5-7/16" OD, 3/ O-ring. 32" wide (7 pack). You will need to tighten the zip ties very tightly. The best solution would be a stainless steel plate with a hole the size of the top of the torch and four 1/4" holes at the corners.
