Review on KONG Aluminum Kisa Shock Absorber by Scott King

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is an excellent device for climbing over the anchor when solo climbing.

This is a great over the anchor device if you are a solo climber and use the Clove Hitch "Silent Partner” (Rock Exotica) to cushion the fall and slow speed to avoid straining the spine break. Cable. The instructions are here: http://www.kong.it/doc407.htm. I use 10.2mm which works well. I've fallen on it many times and you just pull the rope back and keep using it. I also have a short Yates jumpscare so when KN goes above 2KN (550lbs) the jumpscare activates. However, I've never been more than half my own weight of 80 pounds (0.35 knots) as Kisa will go through that and I have a Yates Shorty Safe Screamer that activates at 2 knots just in case I do it's gonna have a big drop and it's going to pull all the way through, that didn't happen even when i fell 15 feet from my last anchor.
