Review on WINSINN Dual Gear Extruder, Compatible With Ender 3 CR10 CR-10 Pro CR-10S Tornado Upgraded Aluminum Drive Feed For 3D Printer 1.75Mm Filament (Dual Connector) by Nathan Jankowski

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Far better design than many(if not all) cheaper printer kits.

I have purchased two of these kits and aside from three things I would suggest it to everyone. One was used to replace the cheap POS from an Ender 3(kit used now for 150 hours in a month), one was used to replace a single-geared replacement for converting an Anet A8 to bowden style. Just received the second.First issue. Many share the view that the included pieces aren't entirely correct. I do not disagree. There were extra pieces i did not use in both kits: a softer spring, and a brass insert that's threaded on the inside. While very possibly useful I found no need or place for these whatsoever. More concerning to me is the fitment of the fantastic yellow spring that's pictured above. The spring itself is great, but to ensure no potential issues there should be an inset in the handle to shroud the end of the spring. With the number of machining processes already done i cannot fathom the tradeoff between the spring inset and an extra spring and brass piece. Aside from that, everything else is pretty solid. The above points to a very slight issue with the cost. In comparison to many other kits that are lower design quality this is already worth more, but without going up to a gearbox style this is about as good as it gets from amazon. for the price point I would like to see the design perfected.Lastly, and very possibly not a vendor problem, both kits i received had tarnished or incomplete coloring and large dust and grime particles on them, including the gear teeth. All were easily cleaned with a spray of air and a wipe down, but i can't 100% stand behind a dirty, grimy, unpainted product. Either it was returned dirty, or has a low quality control circuit at the kit level. or both.Overall, the kit is fantastic(almost perfect), and should probably be where the minimum bar is set on all printers. You will gain if you switch from a single-geared design with an idler. I only have the two printers but i would consider this kit again for a third and fourth if the need arose.
