I started with Neewer LED 660 panels with Neewer soft boxes. They were ok but I wasn't really happy. I tried the umbrellas and liked the scatter better, but didn't like the whole spill. I then progressed to the Neewer CB60 COB light with this parabolic softbox and what a difference. I use it with a reflective disc on the inside and mesh on the outside and I love the diffused light it creates. You can watch video reviews and find that some of the Neewer softboxes are difficult to assemble. It's not like this. You don't have to assemble all the poles; they are already there. I knew the size beforehand so I measured and thought I knew what to expect. When it's actually in 3D, it's completely different. To me, it's worth the sacrifice.
