Peace of mind, easy install
I like Sharkbite fittings because they are so easy to use, just pop in and go. I use them extensively under the house where they are available in case of a leak, although none of these fittings leak and I've used them for several years. I still don't use them indoors in a closed house in case of a leak. I like removing the plastic inserts required for PEX tubing because they can make it difficult to insert copper tubing where it is not needed. I prefer that the fittings come in separate packaging with these inserts and then I just throw them away.
