Review on HIKARI Conversion Headlight Flickering Resistor Replacement Parts and Ignition Parts by Joz Lowe

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Both blew up after 2 days of use.

I originally bought a HIKARI H7 LED Bulbs Conversion Kit 2019 New Generation HIKARI Dimmable Lumens 9600lm 6K Cool White for my 2008 BMW x3 E83 M Sport with HID to replace the internal H7 Halogen Daytime Running Lights (DRL). substitute. After installation, I noticed a lot of flickering and the lamp error light on the dashboard came on, so I decided to buy: HIKARI Pair LED Conversion Kit Headlight Canbus Error Free Anti-Flicker Resistor Decoder – H7 to reduce flickering. After installation, they worked for about 2 days, then I noticed a burning smell in the front of the car, one of the lights went out, then the error lamp on the neat one came on. When I opened the hood to check the resistors, I heard a loud buzz from one of them. When I took them off I saw that BOTH were bubbling inside the plastic sleeve. I suspect the resistor inside exploded and expanded, but I didn't bother opening them to find out. Photo of damaged parts.
