Review on PlasmaGlow 9006 LED Igniters Headlight Conversion by Jeremy Levendusky

Potential but amazed by the quality control.

First off, it's not at all clear that this is a Plasmaglow light - it looks like a fake. It's hard to say, of course, but nothing inspires much confidence. The "Plasma Glow" label on the box is a sticker that is placed on the box, not printed, and only appears on the outside of the box. There is a trademark on the inner packaging, the labels on the electronics - nothing else. The packaging also says 2200 lumens, while Plasmaglow advertises "over 2400 lumens". Although maybe it doesn't matter. As for the lamps themselves, they have potential. I installed one - easy. They're brighter than the originals and give (on one of them) a pretty decent beam pattern that probably won't make me blink too much - I'd lower the headlights a bit if I kept them. But quality control is not the point. Hochburg. I can't install any of the two lamps that came with it. The three lug retaining ring that secures the bulb to the rear of the headlamp rotates on the bulb so it cannot be locked. signet ring. There should be a small tab and notch to keep it from turning, but the plastic tab will not fit into the aluminum casting that is the bulb's body. The second obvious problem with this defective lamp is that the "built-in reflector and anti-glare system" on the side of this lamp is not properly installed. So if it is installed it will most likely give a bad radiation pattern. . I hope they succeed because it would be very nice not to change the lightbulbs and they have potential. .
