I used these to check saw angles for a 3D cutting board project (see photos). My first attempt failed because the saw was slightly offset, and for these designs to work you need to be making cuts at exactly 30 degrees. not 29.7, not 30.2, but with an accuracy of 11 seconds with an accuracy of 30 degrees. Once I got them, I was able to type everything in a few minutes and with just a few test cuts. This set of 30/45/60/90 squares is worth every penny and costs less than a basic 90 degree square at your local woodworking tool store. Since they're solid, I'm also less worried about them staying true if they accidentally fall off the workbench at some point.
