I really like these boxes, they are great for adding a second switch or a low voltage option like power plugs or keyboards for a complete home music system. I'm going to use a hacksaw (you can use a saw if you're careful) to get the old box off the shelf without damaging the wall around it and then I love it over the regular old work box because this one Boxes can be screwed directly into the wall shelf. giving a much stronger box and I didn't have to damage or repair the drywall at all. The fact that they come with a low/high voltage splitter means I can easily add a low voltage option right next to an outlet or switch for a nice clean look that fits the code perfectly.
